AOC Côte de Brouilly, France

Gamay

1

Accolades: SILVER, Gamay International Competition

Produced from 35- to 45-year-old vines planted on the eastern slopes of Mont Brouilly, an ancient volcano renowned for its blue andesite soils. Hand-harvested, traditionally vinified with 75% destemming and aged in tank to preserve the purity of the fruit and the distinctive volcanic terroir.

Style: A refined and structured Cru du Beaujolais with aromas of iris, wild blueberries and wild strawberries. Silky tannins, vibrant freshness and elegant minerality lead to a long, graceful finish, gaining further complexity with bottle age.

Pairings: An excellent match for charcuterie, roast pork, grilled meats and Asian cuisine. Particularly well suited to wine bars, modern bistros and restaurants seeking elegant, terroir-driven Gamay.

Château de Durette

Château de Durette

Beaujolais, France

Four Beaujolais Crus from old vines on granite.

Château de Durette produces wines across four Beaujolais Crus — Régnié, Brouilly, Morgon, and Moulin à Vent — working with vines ranging from 35 to 80 years of age planted on the varied granite soils of the Beaujolais hills. All fruit is hand-harvested and vinified traditionally with significant destemming, ageing in concrete tanks or French oak depending on the cuvée. The estate has earned multiple Silver and Gold medals at the Gamay International Competition. The Moulin à Vent Prestige, aged twelve months in French oak, represents the domaine's most structured and age-worthy expression.
